Transportation
The Council On Aging offers specially designed vans with wheel chair lifts to assist older adults and disabled persons with transportation needs county-wide. Trips include medical appointments, nutrition sites, grocery story, social service, general shopping, laundry, post office, bank, business, employment, visiting and the Senior Center. Donations are welcome. Please call 24 hours in advance to schedule all local trips. This service is available Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Out-of-county transportation is also available with at least one week advanced notice. Sponsor of the Month Sponsor one month of fuel for transportation for $200 and your name or business will be promoted on the back of the van with a magnetic sign. |
