Homemaker/Handyman Services
Homemaker Services*
The Homemaker program provides general housekeeping service for older adults and persons with disabilities who can maintain independent living but need help with household tasks. Homemakers also provide errand service by obtaining prescriptions, groceries, and other household items, they also escort clients to medical appointments and carrying out necessary business transactions according to the client’s wishes.
Donations help provide much needed additional services, and are appreciated.
Handyman
Maintaining a home can be difficult for older adults. This service provides help with minor repairs, can also provide some seasonal yard work.
*Transportation and Homemaker services are funded in part through Title III of the Older Americans Act and Social Service Block Grant, distributed through Aging and In-Home Services of N.E. Indiana, Inc.
The Council on Aging acknowledges and observes the rights of all individuals and is actively servicing older adults, persons with disabilities and low income families without any discrimination.
